Newkirkgate Dental Care
Newkirkgate Dental Care welcomes you to first class dentistry in a relaxed welcoming environment. We go further than other dental practices to ensure you look and feel your best. From general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry, such as teeth whitening, to all the latest preventive advice to help you keep a healthy mouth. If you are a little nervous or scared of visiting the dentist, don’t worry all our team are trained for dental phobia and are happy to discuss your concerns and put your mind at rest. We also provide emergency dental services to registered patients in urgent need of treatment.
Newkirkgate Dental Care Services
We aim to provide the full range of NHS dental treatments as well as private options for teeth whitening,cosmetic treatment,orthodontics and a private option to some NHS treatments where cosmetics are important, eg all ceramic crowns, acrylic and chrome dentures.

Fotis Bousis
Principal Dentist

Fotis qualified from Athens, Greece in 2009 and after that moved in the UK. Since then, he has continued to widen his knowledge and skills with a variety of professional development courses in implant dentistry, Invisalign and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr Fotis completed a 3-year Masters Degree in dental implants in London as well as various Invisalign training courses. He enjoys placing implants in patients with missing teeth or ill-fitting dentures, with a particular interest in All-on-4 full mouth implant treatments.
He is a serving member of the NHS Lothian Local Dental Committee as well as NHS Lothian Area Dental Executive.
He is committed to providing his patients with the highest standards of dental care using the latest technology and materials available such as digital dentistry and intraoral 3D scanners. He really likes helping phobic patients to overcome their dental phobia and build their confidence. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, kitesurfing and skiing.
Dr Antonios Antonopoulos

Antonios began his career as a general dentist in Greece before making the decision to relocate to Edinburgh. He joined the Newkirkgate dental team in November 2022.
Antonios is enthusiastic about dentistry, and he believes in listening, observing, and treating patient's dental needs according to their individual personal requirements. Antonios is particularly interested in cosmetic dentistry and enjoys helping patients regain confidence in their smile.
In his spare time, Antonios enjoys traveling, watching films, playing football and playing the guitar.

Dr Jennifer O’Donnell

Jenny joined Newkirkgate Dental Team in October 2022. Jenny graduated in Ireland and after that decided to move to Edinburgh to continue her dental career at Newkirkgate Dental Care.
Jenny is really looking forward to getting to know her patients and providing a friendly and positive experience for her patients. In particular, Jenny enjoys working with children, providing them with knowledge and expressing the importance of looking after their teeth from a young age.
In her free time, Jenny loves to travel when she can and relaxes by reading a book at the end of the day.

Ahmed joined the Practice in January 2023. He has a calming and relaxing manner, with over 12 years experience in communicating with and caring for patients. Ahmed enjoys all aspects of dentistry and his areas of interest include Prosthodontics making Crowns, Veneers, Bridges and Dentures and thrives to create the best results for his patients.
Ahmed is a full time member of staff and is available to book appointments Monday to Friday.
Claire Han Zhang

Claire graduated from the university of Dundee in 2022 and later moved to Edinburgh going on to join the Newkirkgate Dental team. Claire enjoys getting to know patients, and helping them achieve and maintain their ideal smiles. She likes to take a preventive and patient-focused care which is catered to individual needs to ensure that patients are confident with their smiles.
Outside of work, Claire loves baking at home and travelling to new destinations.

Diana qualified in Spain in 2011 and has been working as a dental hygienist in Scotland since 2014. Through all these years, she has gained both experience and confidence. Diana enjoys building patient’s confidence up by making a nice smile on them. She focuses on oral hygiene as the key to having a healthy mouth and healthy teeth.
Out of work, Diana enjoys watching series, going out for walks and spending time with her family.
