Covid-19 Update January 2021

The Scottish Government has announced that the City of Edinburgh is under tier 4 restrictions at present. However, we would like to clarify that dental practices can continue to operate whilst in tier 4. Therefore, if you have an appointment you should attend as normal, unless we contact you to tell you otherwise.

The Scottish Government announced that dentistry can offer a full range of care from the First of November 2020. This is welcome news as we finally see some normality returning to dentistry. However, they also stated that this will not be business as usual and this will be a gradual and carefully planned process as all dental practices must adhere strictly to the measures introduced by the Scottish Government to protect staff and patients from Covid-19.

The number of patients and appointments we are able to see each day has significantly decreased due to implementing social distancing measures within the practice.

We apologise that many of our patients have had their routine treatments postponed.

Our team is currently working hard to manage the backlog of treatments which may still take a substantial amount of time, but we promise our patients are our priority and we are doing our best to deliver your dental care as soon as possible.

For this reason, we have temporarily put a hold on accepting new patients. If you are on our registration waiting list, we will contact you as soon as we can offer more appointments per day.

We will continue to prioritise patients that are in pain and in need of extra care. This does not mean we cannot see you, if you have any concerns at all, no matter how big or small please do not hesitate to contact us on 0131 554 3509 and our team will be happy to help. We thank you for your further patience.

If you have a dental emergency out of hours, please call NHS24 on 111.
